Match the cladding profile, clip, fixing and support. A decking clip detail does not establish how siding attaches to a wall.
Four systems. Different details.
DeckWise 1X: aluminum standoff, direct to sheathing, perpendicular screw.
DeckWise 5/4: stainless clip on furring, primary angled screw plus a board attachment for specified orientations.
Original Viking: furring-based system; exact profile and fastener submittal needed.
VC2: separately described no-batten system; do not reuse the original Viking dimensions.

Read with the exact product instructions. Features are simplified for visibility; these are not production drawings or structural details.
Keep flashing, weather-barrier penetrations, drainage, ventilation and wall-load design in the project detail. A clip category alone establishes none of these.

First check
The product is described for 3/4-inch siding, but the linked cutter drawing labels .700-inch thickness. Confirm the approved supplied profile; do not reconcile these values by assumption.
DeckWise’s chart distinguishes species and drying condition. “Listed” is a conditional manufacturer listing, not approval of your supplied board or assembly.
Do not transfer the legacy Extreme4 column to Extreme-S without confirmation. “Not listed” is neither approval nor prohibition. Manufacturer species chart.
