What the manufacturer actually lists
Product page names Ipe, Cumaru, Garapa and Western Red Cedar with the required siding profile.
Named species / categories
Ipe · Cumaru · Garapa · Western Red Cedar
Explicit exclusions
No exhaustive exclusion list found. Absence of a prohibition is not approval.
Conditions that change the answer
- The product is described for 3/4-inch siding, but the linked cutter drawing labels .700-inch thickness. Confirm the approved supplied profile; do not reconcile these values by assumption.
- No separate starter clip or furring is specified for this system. That does not authorize fastening into any sheathing thickness or wall assembly.
- The instructions distinguish field positions from butt joints: a shared top/bottom clip at the joint uses two screws per clip.
- Aluminum clip plus stainless screw is a specified combination, not a universal coastal, fire or wind-load approval.

? Production profile — A manufacturer reference section is distinct from the board supplied to your project. Unverified envelopes contain no invented production groove.
Open supporting source ↗Open-ended hollow aluminum extrusion with a rear three-hole fixing flange and paired front engagement lips. The clip itself creates the cavity; no separate batten is inserted.

Reference-inferred or illustrative features
- Extrusion wall thickness, hole diameter, overall clip width and radii
- Unpublished profile fit tolerances and supplied-production match
- Representative wall extent, screw head and texture
Supplied production fit: pending. A recognizable model does not change the compatibility result. The board shown explains a manufacturer interface, not approved Ipe Woods milling.
A · Verified technical model — Geometry from approved CAD or dimensional drawings; only verified dimensions are displayed.
B · Reference reconstructed — Source-faithful visual model. Inferred details are recorded and unverified manufacturing dimensions are withheld.
C · Illustration — Explains an assembly principle; never presented as an exact branded product.

Manufacturer evidence & supplied-fit review
Reference reconstructions explain the documented mechanism. Their inferred details are labeled separately; matching the actual supplied board, accessory SKU and current instructions remains a separate review.

Manufacturer installation evidence, manufacturer geometry and supplied production fit are independent verification states. No generated image establishes any of them.
Dimensions belong to different parts
Installed gap, clip size, board thickness and groove cut are separate measurements. Mill tolerances and the sold accessory match remain separate approvals.
| Measurement | Inches | Millimeters | Applies to / limitation |
|---|---|---|---|
| Marketed board thickness | 0.75 | 19.05 | Product class, not proof of final machined thickness. |
| Cutter drawing board thickness | 0.7 | 17.78 | Drawing dated October 25, 2023. Needs Verification against the .75-inch description. |
| Published standoff | 0.75 | 19.05 | Behind the siding; not the face reveal or clip overall depth. |
| Field clip spacing | 16 | 406.4 | Manufacturer layout; project loads and shorter runs require review. |
| Clip envelope / installed reveal | Unverified | — | Not established here. Cutter geometry is a separate board interface document. |
Metric values are calculated conversions, not added manufacturing precision.
The screw is part of the system
#9 × 1-inch or #9 × 1-1/2-inch stainless flat pan-head, T20 ttap. One per field clip; two at each shared butt-joint clip.
Installation sequence
Prepare sheathing, weather barrier, flashing and ventilation details. Establish a level starting line.
Install the starting clips at the documented 16-inch field spacing; the same clip starts the first row.
Seat the profiled board. Place the next clip on its upper lip.
Drive the screw at 90° through the clip into the sheathing. This is not a 45° deck-board attachment.
At butt joints, share a clip between both ends at top and bottom and use two screws per clip. Detail the top board with blocking and face fastening where required.
