- Do not substitute the aluminum 1X clip or its no-furring detail. Separate starter clips are used here.
- The linked limited warranty requires authorized-dealer purchase and registration within 45 days. It excludes improper installation and does not cover removal or reinstallation costs; read the current terms.
- Vertical, angled and overhead installations require the additional lower-hole attachment through the siding into the supporting structure.
- A board-end joint uses two clips. Do not import the shared-clip instruction from the 1X system.
- A species name alone does not approve the supplied profile, moisture condition, screw or exposure.
- For saltwater, pool chemicals or treated substrates, verify the complete metal combination and manufacturer corrosion guidance. A stainless insert is not a blanket marine approval.

The screw is part of the system
Published instruction: #8 × 2-inch stainless T15 trim-head. Verify exact kit alloy and support penetration separately from the 304 clip.
Installation sequence
Prepare the weather barrier and correctly anchored furring. Install separate starters on a level line.
Seat the matching profiled board; place the next clip on the upper edge.
For the horizontal field detail, drive the primary screw at approximately 45° through the upper clip hole into furring.
For vertical, angled or overhead work, use the lower secondary hole to fasten through the board into the support as directed. The extra attachment is not optional for those orientations.
Use separate clips at board-end joints. Resolve final boards, openings, ventilation and flashing with the wall detail.
