What the manufacturer actually lists
Composite decking category; exact decking-brand approval still needs confirmation.
Named species / categories
Composite (brand-specific review)
Explicit exclusions
No exhaustive exclusion list found. Absence of a prohibition is not approval.
Conditions that change the answer
- C-F-2025 identifies 175-EBTYP and 175-EB TT as original products without a steel reinforcement plate.
- Do not apply the Premium wood installation or an Ipe Clip screw path automatically. Obtain the original EB-TY and decking-brand instructions.
- A species name alone does not approve the supplied profile, moisture condition, screw or exposure.
- For saltwater, pool chemicals or treated substrates, verify the complete metal combination and manufacturer corrosion guidance. A stainless insert is not a blanket marine approval.
Connection anatomy
See what the screw actually penetrates
Original composite EB-TY is a different product. Do not use the Premium wood attachment or Ipe Clip vertical detail without the original kit instructions.
Read with the exact product instructions. Features are simplified for visibility; these are not production drawings or structural details.
Dimensions belong to different parts
Installed gap, clip size, board thickness and groove cut are separate measurements. Mill tolerances and the sold accessory match remain separate approvals.
| Measurement | Inches | Millimeters | Applies to / limitation |

Metric values are calculated conversions, not added manufacturing precision.
The screw is part of the system
175-EBTYP: #7 × 2-1/4-inch Type 305; 175-EB TT: Type 316. Catalog starter screws are #10 × 2-3/4-inch DCU Composite.
Installation sequence
Match the exact composite board brand, original EB-TY model and current installation sheet.
Confirm the groove, gap, fixing direction, starter screws and end-joint detail before layout.
Do not use the Premium wood diagram as a composite installation instruction.
